The yesteryears gangs

With all the news lately on gangs, it makes me ponder on the need to join a group and feel big there. Anyhow I recalled a story of a great man.

I heard this story eons ago and my recollection may not be entirely accurate.

A gang turned up at my school, demanding to see a particular boy. Apparently this boy stole one of their "bludder" girlfriend. And they want to see him to "discuss" further.

After some shouting and swearing, my principal walked up to them. (I am unclear if the sky darken at this moment) He asked why are they making trouble on his turf. They threatened him and demand to see that boy.

Lau Hair was not someone you could threaten. He rejected their nonsense and ask them to get out. They refused of course and at this moment, my principal walked back to his office and made some calls. (It was pre mobile phones era)

You would have thought that the police would stop by next, but No.... Instead a group of older menacing people came by in a van. They approached the small punks and their big boss asked their affiliations. Sensing trouble is ahead, the punks panic and kept real quiet.

The big boss repeated and still gotten little response. He asked if they would like to create trouble. Once again no real response and they left.

Big boss walked up to lau hair and greeted with a smile. Apparently that his former Maths teacher.

Its been said that every Annual school gathering for the old boys, a table will be reserved for them. Such loyalty is hard to find.
