movies at sea

This has only been a normal 3 days sailing for me. But guess what I watched

Firstly, Groundhog day. I gotten this movie after inspiration from Shups! comment some time back. Its a fabulous classic and I would recommend it for all. Bill Murray remains one of my fav comedian of all times. Perhaps one day I would catch Lost in Translation

Next, I caught Harold and Kumar goes to White Castle. Excellence comedy which to me kinda poke fun at white americans. I do think I should catch it again cos, it funny yet not ridicules.

And in my boredom, this pops in. Yes its Team America. My brain was bored from the lame jokes and all. No wonder I thought, these are the creator of south park. argh. Please never watch it.

In between, I caught the Onk Bak, Around the world in 80 days, 200 pounds beauty, Rob B hood. I wont bother to link these as din managed to complete the whole show and wont know if they are good. (pls let me know if they are)

Last but not least, there were the good old Futurama and a new anime which I am catching, Dennou Coil. I would recommend.

Some of you probably knew, but a larger group wont know about this. A very long time ago, I was a skinner. And no this does not mean I am skinny (though at that time I was). It simply means I designed skins for applications.

I designed largely for a windows replacement application popularly known as windowblinds. It was created by a great programmer Neil Banfield who gotten the attention of Stardock. And before long, he is recruited by them for his sole creation.

Back then in my skinning days, I was known as decoderx. its a simple nick I gave myself which strangely lead others to think i was a hacker. anyway.... I enjoyed skinning and though I only release my better designs there are a larger number which I kept hidden. These would never see the internet daylight.

Looking at the current bunch of skinners, I must admit the community did grow a fair bit. The designs are awesome and it really captures the concept of skinning freely. I do admit there are many times, I wish I could go back and design them once more. But I am afraid the time has passed for me.

Cant believe how one of my designs ended up top 10 in the First skinning competition back then too.

Singing Tesla

What if you set the sparks generated from a Tesla to an audible level. Well then you could make frightening music.

i a leftie

Kinda strain my right arm while playing BMO today. (Ps BMO is otherwise known as badminton)

It has been a long while since I last played. Largely miss out due to work commitments. And would be missing another good session next wednesday, as they would be throwing me out at sea once more.

As it has been almost a month since i held the racquet (yes I spell it this way) I could barely perform today. Been missing shots and returning my strokes off target. Not to mention I fail to smash properly as well.

As a result, my right arm is aching all over when the game ended. Imagine going for dinner after that and struggling to hold the chopsticks. Indeed, its strange that I am typing on my keyboard.

Anyway I think I would be a leftie for tomorrow. Should be able to get away with most of my stuffs, except brushing me teeth of course.

New SE phones

Aileen, I want you to know that I still love you.

Just that I am getting a crush from your younger sisters now.

Sleep debt

Yawn. Cant believe I took a short nap that ends up a long nap.

But in any case, its one hell of a good nap. My body was warm, the air cool, the pillow soft and even the pesky renovation work stopped.

An excellent way to pay my debts in full indeed.

Strangely, I have a love-hate relationship while sleeping at sea.

Loves
-the comfy bed
-the nice rocking motion
-the thought of no naggy mom

Hates
-the announcement system
-the endless moment of bunk mates
-the not so nice rocking motion

Wish I can get more sleep

cant believe i am 66

Just a year ago, I was a flabby 75kg. Yet all so happy with my weight.
I could eat what I want and pretty much enjoy stuffing myself.

that all changed when I realised I can barely run and doing sport is a killer.

So a regime of weekly runs and badminton got me to stablise at 71-ish.
I pretty much still eat the same amount but yep it get burn off easily.

Till a couple months ago, I lost my beloved granny.
I din know how much it affected me till I found that all my pants doesnt fit no more.

Then after weighting myself last week, I found the dismay. I am 66.
A weight I have not been since my pre-NS days some 7 years ago.

No more tummy, no more ability to stuff myself, no more supper with prata.
This is scary.

Please guys. Help me.

New 7

Swiss-Canadian adventurer Bernard Weber is organizing an online contest to choose the “new seven wonders of the world.”

The New 7 Wonders of the World will be announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, July 7, 2007 - 07.07.07.

Personally, I just want the Effiel Tower to be in. That damn thing has 700 steps to the mid section. Climbing up aint a piece of cake. Trust me.
