Waves to Shups and Weiling

I bum into the ever delightful and charming Shups, a short while back.
She was out with Weiling and I wonder what the 2 girls are up to.
*Waves*
Ermm lets meet up sometime?

Anyway, my friends and I went to Hooters for dinner.
Please never order their wings. We did and we were cheated.
We had tot that 1 wing = wing end + upper arm end
but this was a lie.
At hooters, they simply gave them as separate and told us its 2 wings
Liars

Well the food is average and there is nothing much to look at.
Dont go there.

NEC pirated

Just when you thought piracy was just a small business, well think again.

In china, they set up factories, offices using NEC name. Then they went on to send products, such as mp3 players and so on.

Ahh I am lazy to say more, you read on.

Morning musume, i like :)

Well I always find the girl group Morning Musume to be an interesting lot. They pump out endless cute songs, most of which are just fun to laugh along. This one in particular is unbelievable. Such the beat alone will put a smile on you.

I wanted to say more about them, but I think I should let the video do the selling instead

Spinelli conquer

Heh the ABN card came in handy today when Inky and I pass by a Spinelli.

We got 2 coffees for the price of 1. Ahh what a way to be coffee addicts

Cards galore

About 2 weeks back ABN called me up and offered my a credit card. They told me all the good things about it but strangely I could not care less. After all, I already have the OCBC Titanium card and I love it the most.

But having come close to reaching my credit limit when I was assigned overseas, I now need a second credit card for emergencies. And this is the only reason I said yes to them. They send a courier down to my place the very next day to get my signature and just today I recieved the package containing my card and some freebies.

Looking thru, nothing caught my attention. The only thing that interest me is the 1 for 1 Spinelli coffee. And yes I am an addict to coffee.

Right now, I am interested of getting another. Thinking of one that smells like 1-for-1 wine bar

To infinity and beyond

Nay, no reason for this post.

Just wanted to say those words

What is a cockpit?

As I watch this instruction video, which teaches Japanese man how to say dirty word in English, I wonder out loud, what is a cockpit?

Anyone here knows?

Robotic Chair

This is not quite what you think it meant. Its Art after all.

Wonder why would a chair destroy itself, only to reattach itself limb by limb later?
Well, only engineers would appreciate this.

Check out the video.

Relive history of the iPod

Can you remember when, which year, at which place did Steve Job unveil the iPod?

I sure cant, and am glad this helps to remind me.

Movie of the year

Well its a little early to declare the movie of the year now.

But just by watching this trailer, you probably would think so too

Now aint that a sexy thought

Inspiration

When I was young, I did wonder alot what would I want to be when I grow up. A teacher advised me that I should do something I am good at, something I know that I can handle. He was my Physic teacher and being rather good at my Electrical theory, I decided I wanted to be an engineer.

Unlike many who only make such choices when they are 21, I had to do so when I was merely 17. It cant be helped I guess, since I decided to proceed on the poly path. In the long run, it turns out better for me. I got into Uni with ease and enjoyed building circuits and blowing things up.

Now I am working as an engineer. I would have thought I would be satisfied. I was wrong. It might have been that I wanted to go into aviation engineering or in any areas dealing with motors and engines. Yet my role is now more of project management. I felt my knowledge have gone to waste, I knew I could not stay within this space forever.

But I knew in some ways, the big guy above have some plans for me. Perhaps learning how to manage projects would give me the relevant skills I lacked of. Thus, I set a small target of 3 years. I would learn all I can, do what I must within this short period. At the end of it I would say goodbye to my current post and embarked upon the unknown.

You see, I have another interest when I was young as well. I want to have my own business. My close buddy and I have been dreaming about this for many years now. And that has kept us close. In fact, we are working towards this target. We would find what we want to start up. But to do so, we both need experience and capital. 3 years time we will begin. :)

Oh and one my thing. I think I figure out what I wanted to do business in....

Airport

I just saw this amazingly interesting flash animation of a man's journey from an oversea location to his home.

It clearly describe how my trip went. and strangely, i find it so surreal.

Hmm did I mention that everything is done with a pin-head-man and signs.

credit limiting

I just checked my credit card transaction online.

After 1 week of waiting, the entire sum of the car rental I solely paid for the 34 days in France has arrived. Its a hefty $5000 sing.

My claims and allowance have not arrived yet and I am now close to being declared a bankrupt.

Guess I would need to eat bread for the next few days.

I found it

Whoo I am excited. I have found the shop lying along Purvis street when I pop by there this afternoon.

It was closed unfortunately and strangely. After all its only 7pm. At the glassdoor there is the operating hours. Strangely again, the closing time has been removed.

I am guessing its not open for businese yet.

I guess I can wait a while more

at 2.30pm, i was attempting to type into the comp while i flip through the pages. somehow i cant seem to get this to work out. i read one line, i type one line and when i go to the next line, i cant seem to find it. then i check the comp and realised i cant make out what i typed.

boy am i jet lag.

Coffee press me

While I was in France, I enjoyed their european style coffee. Its pretty different from the fare back home. And when I say back home I mean either those 70 cent kopitiam offers or the $5 equivalent at starbucks.

In France, I enjoyed fresh coffee which are pressed with hot steam into a small cup. You merely add a little sugar if you want it to be less bitter and the sensation of a small hot cup of coffee is fabulous. The only trouble with this is that its quite troublesome to prepare a small cup at home.

If you have one of these giant espresso machines, they cost a bomb and are silly to clean up after making 2-3 cups.

You could get one of those cool Nespresso machine whereby the coffee comes back into a little capsule and all you have to do is drop the capsule into a machine and push start. (www.nespresso.com)

or you could do it the manual way, for alot cheaper

ahhh coffee. its keep you running even if you dont want to
