NDR's fault

ok I am going to blame NDR for dragging me into this. But I am going to be nice enough not to link 6 other people so that the horrors of the Ring can end with me.

1. I hate Mushrooms. Well probably the whole world knows that now, but do you know I once sworn that I would readily eat it if someone I really like cook it for me? No offense, but if you cooked it and offered to me and I politely declined, I only like you this much.



2. I am secretly training my left hand to be as good as my right. I could use it with chopsticks with ease but strangely I can never brush my teeth with my leftie.



3. I cant never sit still for long. My attention span is quite short. At work, I would constantly get up and pop by the loo, play with my fishies or disturb my busy colleague.



4. Whenever someone ask me a question which I know but the answer is hidden at the back of my mind, I would go crazy thinking about it for the rest of my waking hours.



5. Much to my own amusement, I really dont like to drive. Yet I somehow turned into a monster when I am behind the wheels.



6. I do many things on impulse. Am not really into planning for meetup, trips and all. In fact, I would really like to go on a holiday overseas and decide what to do on the spot.

Met my enemy

I din realise this yesterday.

I sure din realise it up until I arrive.

Yest, my colleague told me to help him perform a foundation inspection on top of a ship currently undergoing repair at the yard.

I arrived with my helmet and boot and daringly climb up the Ship to the upmost mast top. Its there where I saw my worst nightmare face to face. The 2 ton radar which nearly killed me.

It is not the actual radar that cause my dismay. But rather its close 'cousin'.

Facing it, my head spins back to the past which I had long kept shut. The endless torment of the sound and rotating wind gushing around. Yet she stood before me dormant.

A long moment of silence pass. I took this time to catch my breathe.

I wish I had a hammer then. I wish to take it apart. Perhaps my wish will come through once this pile of waste get scrap.

Threadless summer sales

Just last night I was clicking around and found that Threadless was having a Sales.

This is strange as there was no email notification which I would normally get.

Yes! Shirts are selling out and yet no email!

And only this morning the darn email came.

I think next time we need to check on Threadless daily to be safe.

The messy desk

The sound of falling water emcompasses those who walks near.
Its just a tinkering of the little pump working furiously to keep the water clean.
10 Orangey, 1 yellowly and numerously prawns I last count.
An entertaining visual to keep work stress at bay.
While a conversation topic for those who dare to walk near.

Stacks and stacks of papers are littered everywhere.
Constant wonder on where are the important documents.
Yet all one get to see are the endless scribbles.
Notes taken from the past that haunts the present.
For I have no idea where, what or why it has been written.

Soon the end of work day would arrive.
The minutes quietly flickering away.
Patience! This is what I must keep
For perhaps the end of my work period would come soon too.

Once upon a time there was a female brain cell which, by mistake, happened to end up in a man's head.
She looked around nervously because it was all empty and quiet.
"Hello?" she cried, but no answer.
"Is there anyone here?" she cried a little louder, but still no answer.

Just 2 years ago, nobody fancy a Liverpool Finals. And yet We won.

And now just a couple of hours more, it would be the same. So far, none of the non-liverpool fans think that Liverpool would win it. Wont blame them, after all it sounds like sour grapes to me :P

In any case, I am on halfday today and on leave tomorrow. Hope Liverpool can put up a good show.

How to say goodbye?

I was reading with great interest on a particular entry on NDR blog.

It pains me to see her going through what I have been through the entire of April. The lost of my mama gentle love has pretty much left me a broken man. But right now I am finding strength to pick up the pieces. For I know very well that Mama is with me each step of the way.

I had went about questioning myself during the course of the wake. Wondering why I din managed to spend more time with her when she was around. Thinking how I could have pop by every Sunday just to chat with her for a while. Alas now that its too late, time could never wait.

But how to say goodbye? Well its never easy. The word itself is intimidating. Especially the process of coming to terms with it.

My only advise is to spend time whenever you can. Show your mama that you are living a good life to put her at ease. And most of all, tell her that we will meet again some day.

Manic driver

I came to realise from my close buds that I am a madman behind the wheels.

Normally when I walk, I am rather patience and wont mind queuing up for long duration to wait for my turn to pass or so.

However throw me behind the wheels and a monster took over.

I would drift in and out of my lane overtaking anyone who travels at the speed limit. I would refuse to let idiots cut into my lane when they dont signal their early intention . I would drive close to them on the side so that they know they should slow down when I am near. I am horrible.

And yes at the end of it all, I intend to buy my own car, so that I can finally speed.

Alas my mentality on the road is so much different from the person off it.

Thats my ship

The first of 6 Frigates has finally been commissioned.

You probably seen this line on the papers for the past 2 days. But unknown to many, this is a big source of relief to me.

Why?

Well thats becos, I have been working on one of the combat systems for FORMIDABLE (Cant say which one though) and it has been an incredible 1.5 years of journey for me.

Not bad for my first job I might add.

Currently, I am the assisting the development of Ship 2, aka INTREPID. She would be commissioned this year end.

I am also in charge of the development of Ship 4, aka TENACIOUS. She is still not yet ready yet, but I got a feeling this baby is special.

Drinks

I needed a drink yesterday, but my Bro aint free.

Strangely, I wasnt looking for one today but got it.

1 Whisky sour
3 shots of Retox
2.5 bottles of beer
1 Tequila Pop

And damnit I was only a little High. But my pocket is alot lighter.
