The NDP singer jokes

I made this joke up last year, or was it the year before.... hmmm cant quite remember, having memory lost lately. Anyway, I happen to remember it due to the new NDP song, which i somehow miss every broadcast of it. All I caught was the bits and pieces of it. I should probably watch more tv.

Well, now onto the joke.

Remember our past NDP singers??? They were all the biggest stars from singapore. There was Stef Sun, tanya chua, kit chan, etc. Well i was betting that one year would come where the singing pastor Ho yeow sun would be next. yes i know, everybody is going yucks. grin

Female andriod

I might mention this before.... That andriod are becoming more and more human-like. I might have also mentioned that very soon in like 10 years time, robotic prositution would be reality. Which brings in the whole ethical factor, since technically it aint adultery... and so on.

I used to be size 4

... a long time ago in a galaxy far far away in sembawang airbase, i was a happy-go-lucky technician. I would come to work in my Number 3 (which is officewear with light blue top and dark blue pants) and change into my 1 piece blue coverall.

Life was good, what could be better? I appreciate the fun of running around in my elastic coverall for the entire day. I only dread putting back the number 3 when I return home.

Recently, my pants is getting tighter. Its getting harder to breathe when I wear it. I of course blame the washing machine for all this. I cant be always wrong right? Perhaps its time to change my uniform.

I am currenting wearing a size 4 for my pants. Probably I should get a size 5. Its not that I am admitting I am fat now, cause I AM NOT. But I should prepare for the future. You know, the time when I am balding and fat.

In the meantime, I think I should go on a diet. I will cut down on my food intake for one. Will start running soon. I ponder if I should try Zoe Tay's slimming solution????

My 1st day back

Its wonderful to be back... well who am I kidding. Being back is not by choice but to fulfill my duty. Which strangely I dun mind completing.

My great old squadron which flew the vietnam bird the Huey UH-1H has been shut down weeks ago. I was greatly sadden by it and while I was on my way to surrender my IC, I saw 10 of them at bravo. It great to know that they are still around, however they will be gone soon.

Anyhow, I am IC-less from now. My 11B is MIA. Somehow no one knows I was coming back and nobody bother to collect them beforehand. So they gave me a yellow slip of paper (which I filled up myself) to indicate that I am a Singaporean.

I am assigned to 125 sqn which flies the superpuma. Its really huge. The people there were great. Never have I seen a WO so kind that he drove me to settle my pass and offer to get me coffee. I hope for a good life for 10 weeks.

she's leaving once more

I dun really blog about my personal stuffs on the web. And if I do, its normally something funny or interesting. This time its none of those. In a couple of hours, my kanojyo will be returning for her overseas studies.

In this period of time before I make my way to her place to see her off, many thoughts crossed my head. Flashbacks of our good times and sad times kept popping in and out. I barely even slept much last night. Its not going to be easy. I have to re-adjust being alone once more. I have to get thru my first week of NS without her. I felt so cold.

Each time this happens, part of me dies off. The remaining group together and wait in hope. Sighs.

All the best dear, you know I will always think of you and miss you.

Not again

Last night I was sadden by the news that more bombs have gone off in London. This 2nd act of terrorism has no doubt cause further panic to the city and its people. The act is no doubt a serious defiance was made to show to the world that they are restless and cant be stopped. I think not of course. in due time, they will learn that their causes bear no clear objective and realise that they cant go on by doing so. the question is of course for how long? and also how much more?

What bothers me further is that perhaps I let my imagination runs too far here. I got a good feeling that bombing of the public transportations is only a distraction. There is some more devious to this. their aim to me is to struck fear among commutors to avoid taking the public services altogether. people would end up scrambling for taxis or driving to work and thus end up choking the highway and carpark lots. and when the time comes due to all these traffic congestion, they might launch a blow up of the city. resuce workers will find it difficult to access the city to carry out their work. more lives will be lost and further insecurities will arises.

london might soon be a giant showcase to the world that the terrorist have won. that they are smarter that the authorities.

i hope of course all that i have said aint coming true and its just a imagination from too much movies and books. but there is a great danger here as the ingredients are all lay out for destruction. i will pray that nothing happens at all and that the right people are brought to justice.

i suck at pool

i played pool with 'watashi no kanojyo' today. she have not played for years and so did i. we tot why not and went ahead for 90 mins of shots.

in it, we played 5 games. the score 4-1. that is i lost 4 times to her. and if you think i won that 1 game out of consolation from her.... well you probably right. cause i din quite won that only game, she made a mistake by hitting the black ball into the hole and gave the game to me.

i should avoid such embarassing acts from now on.

See you soon Edwina

I am never good with goodbyes.

Morgan, my good fren, my pal, left on sunday and I felt like I lost a best friend. I cant hardly say goodbye to him. instead i merely said we will see each other soon, someday.

Edwina called me a while back. she was at the airport about to board her plane. we had made plans to catch up once more over dinner but alas there are more important things she had to attend to. i din manage to say a proper goodbye as well.

perhaps i could never said goodbye. its always see you soon or catch you around again. i do hope she have a safe trip and a good time there.

cheers babe!

Ever wonder....

I like gin tonic. nice strong drink with desirable taste. best of all its glows under the dark UV lights in zouk.

So this baffles me, why does the gin tonic glow in the dark? its a clear liquid under normal lighting, but somehow it glows a nice warm green under UV.

Almost felt like I am drinking a toxic chemical drink.... wait i am drinking a toxic drink.

Anyway, do let me know if any of you knows the answer.

tanks at 2am

i was typing the previous post when suddent there is this loud engine like noise coming from the outside. normally strange stuffs like this only last a few seconds and goes away. most of the time i will just ignore it, concluding that its one of the many stranges noises of the night.....

this time, the noise went on for more than a minute. it prompt me to get off my butt and look out the window. i had assume the worst. a thermal nuclear device's core melting down. then i saw the largest driveby of army tanks. they just keep coming and coming. traffic police on bikes were escorting them. they look pretty tiny next to these beasts.

i do hope the tanks are moving by because of the National day rehearsal. otherwise i might assume the worst and get ready to put on my coverall and report for duty.

they are all leaving....

sighs... good friends are hard to come by these days. for the past month i have been grateful to have some of my closest friends returned to singapore for a short holiday. but i soon realise that their visit will come to an end. on top of that, i have a couple of friends who are leaving the country as well.

Morgan -> perharps one of my best friends ever. He will be returning to sydney and might settle there for good.

Edwina -> one great movie buddy and a fun gal to hang out with. will be leaving real soon for korea for a short term study scheme.

yanyan -> one of craziest and most fun loving buddies i ever knew. she will be flying to japan for a year of work.

Risa -> my better half no doubt. she will be returning soon to brisbane to finish up her studies.

my nights and weekends will be getting quite lonely for now

be with you

i caught this japanese love story with my kanojyo yesterday. normally i wont be interested in watching lovey dovey movies, but i decided to give this one a try just for her.

the plot of the story is rather subjective. i wont go into any details but i would say that i aint too comfortable with the plot. the directing however was quite good. apparently this director is quite famous and he did "beautiful days".

the best part of the movie is that this is an absolute tear enhancing movie. i have seen many sad movies but this is probably one of the wettest ever. at a point of time, the sniffing sound appears stereo to me. left, right, front and back everyone is crying away. my kanojyo even notice a guy sitting infront removing his specs to wipe his eyes.

i rather this movie a must see for couples and couples-to-be. guys out there, bring your gf to touch their heart. if you can, attempt to be emotionally captivated by it, if not just pretend to be. for those guys who are still wooing their girls, this will no doubt impress them. if it din work out for you in the end, at least it was fun to see them cry.

i got a good feeling, girls will start throwing eggs at my blog...

long lost friend

i just received an email from a very old friend. someone whom i miss for a long while now. the recent bombing in london has made me uncomfortable about her whereabout.

anyway, i cant quite explain the rumbling feeling inside of me. but i do hope to see her again one of these days.

here is to an old friend, who never fails to smile and brighten up my day.

quite interesting though

leave my fren's gf alone

well i guess everyone in singapore knows about the "deception tactic" surrounding NKF. funny thing is that we all knew all along that they are ripping us off but we let them play us for a while longer.

though we are all disgusted by them, i stood back and tot of this, cunning and unethical they might be but they are no doubt successful in what they are doing. there are so many charity organisation which are running their organisation to the ground without able to attract any attention at all. why have they fail? why did NKF succeed? simple, NKF is run more of a business like mindset than the rest. the others should try likewise, of course minus the unethical part.

also, one of my very close fren's wife-to-be is working for them as a outpost checkup nurse. she is just doing her job, so leave her alone. please dun harass her or anything . it aint her fault.

funny pranks to play

this little device makes a annoying sound for 1 sec and a frequency of 4 mins. its bound to annoy your frens, fellow workers and boss.

the frequency is low enough to ensure that its hard to find.

fun fun

dun mess with sph

if you flip thru the straits times today, you will notice one thing. the cover story is the NKF CEO salary of $600,000 per annum. and the courtroom battle between them and sph.

strange to think that the biggest criminal case ongoing now is the Huang Nan murder trial and it has only a half page article on it.

sph wrote a wonderful one-sided story of the entire 1st day of the court proceeding which covers 2 full pages. wow. just wow. even if they dun win the case, NKF name is forever damn. not to mention mediacorp which has merge with sph will probably not hold any more NKF charity drive.

lesson learnt, dun mess with the singapore media. we already know how much a bastard the ceo is.

send back to ns

i gotten a call today which finalised my application for resumption of my NS. will be shipping myself back to base. yes....i dun go back to camp. cos i m in the airforce, therefore the term camp serves no purpose to me. anyhow base is so much a higher class term.

i was told that i will be returning on the 25th of july. whoo hoo. yeah yeah. *firework* ok it aint that exciting. but i probably have one of the shortest services ever. just a mere 10 weeks or so. they told me i will ORD on the 17th oct. i am looking forward to that.

in the meantime, i am sadden that the wonderful 120 sqn where i enjoyed my a year plus will be closing down. the powerful UH-1H helicopters will decommission. sighs. its been a wonderful time cleaning those birds. i hope 125 sqn will be a better place

VL: actually the older one is already in JC this year.
Me: is she cute?
VL: *evil sith stare at me*
VL: why?
Me: oh, nothing.
Leader 2: Well there is always Mrs Chow's daughter.

you sad bastads

the point of terrorism is to strike terror. and this terror has to get ppl attention, cause disruption within the economic situation as well as annouced to the world "you can see my doings, but you can never catch me."

perhaps maybe perhaps. but is there any real objective other than this? do they hope that somehow in the end, "their world" would be a better place? probably not. what they are doing is short lived. sure, they will feel the arrogant now, but after which they will retreat to the hole they have been hidding. nothing has changed.

if they plan to disunite the ppl, i am sad to say that it only strenghten their bonds.

so be an ass if you want, you lousy rats. may you never see the light of the day and walk around peacefully among man. may you regret the killings you cause and lived on their burden everyday. may you burn in hell forever.

better looking nose?

i tot the japanese cosmetic market is a fairly innovative playground. My dear kanojyo is using a special eye glue to create nice double eyelids. (which i sometimes cant tell if she does it or not)

now there is this new product which makes your nose higher and sharper. but dun trust me on that, since i can barely translate japanese. check it out yourself

fuel pricing

i agreed with brown when he commented that the petrol stations should remove the silly discount signs and replace it with a proper sign which state cost per litres.

on my short trip to aus, every petrol stations we passed had their cost-per-litre clearly display. it saves us time and money to find the cheaper pump. but back at home, the silly marketing heads have the crackpot idea that putting up a large 20% signboard would work better. us commuters aint that dumb. we hated the weekly time spending pumping our tanks full. we envy going to jb every weekend to save on some cost.

well in short, if anyone who works for those companies is reading this, please put up a better signboard.

i could have written better but am lazy to write much today.

waxing

this is one thing i never quite understood. why do girls wax their arms, legs and so on. we guys dun really mind. come on look at our legs. the answer is there. hairy is fine with us. well then again the armpit hair is abit of a turnoff.

anyway, watashi no kanojyo was waxing her legs and arms. it was rather interesting at first to see her apply the wax paper there. but my boredom got the better of me and after like 10 mins of looking i ended up dozing off. till she asked if i could help her pull off the wax from her arms. i gladly volunteer.

you must be thinking i am sadistic to want to pull off her hair and see her in pain. well you are partially right. it was fun.

later she asked if i want to remove my legs hair. i absolutely refused. had i done so, i know my manhood would be gone. i cant bear for that to happen. in short i will say, ladies do what you want to yourself, we like you all the same, just dun try the same thing on us man. its not funny even we are sleeping and vulnerable.

i ran

yes after much much much procrastination i finally went for a jog. I picked to do so early today while my boys are busy doing footdrill. i never like footdrill in the first place, always seem like a waste of time to get it right. anyway, i choose to run a short 2-3km around the neighbourhood.

as i prepare for my run, i did the laziest stretching exercise ever. i lean forward and back and stop there. cant quite bother much. then i began my trip abruptly. my old bones were squeaking the entire trip. the first 1 km or so, i managed to breathe properly. after that i was struggling to keep in line without drifting too much. apparently, my shortness of breadth makes the remaining journey a pain to continue. but i wont say die yet.

its probably at that instance, i remember the many news articles of fit NS regulars who die from running this past few weeks. it aint good to think of such stuffs then. i also recall the nurse at the blood center reminding me not to do anything tiring this week. all a sudden all those advises ppl gave makes me shiver in cold sweat. however my stubborn nature refuses to give in. I was never fond of rules anyway.

I reach the end of the round with my chest in pain, my legs muscles screaming and my bright red face. could barely talk much. i am so out of shape that i know i must set this to be a weekly affair no less. sighs, no more supper for me.

mindless falling and moving simulation

Here are 2 interesting simulations which serves little purpose but provides me some entertainment while i wait to talk on the phone

very soon

life is short. well not lengthwise anyway. life is short when you look about it in phases. there is the kiddy age, where one learns to talk, walk, play and go gaga over the opposite sex. there is the schooling age where all one did is study. there is the working age where we all slave to earn for keeps. and lastly the family age where one proceed from being a man to a father to a grandfather and so on. of course all this ages overlaps sometimes.

i am now at the end of my schooling age. pretty soon i will end up working for a good 40 years before the retirement age bounds me. sadly this past 20 years of schooling seem like a quick short affair. perhaps its make shorter since we are all in a hurry to grow up fast. sighs. i guess i should not have wish to become old quick. years seem to fly by when you are not ready for changes.

the truth is, i am a little scare over the unknown future. i have set out planning to achieve several things. each of which i hope to come true when time is due. i hope not to be overly disillusion over working life as some of my frens claims it to be. i suppose work is what you make it out to be. but i am in no position to assume that statement. yet i will stay optimistic over the process of it. after all life is all about learning and overcoming challenges.

well i am not 100% ready for this yet. but i know i will be able to handle it. i do hope when the family age comes about later, i will be ready and waiting for it.
