Honda, the company that started selling Bikes before building cars and venturing into Robot (Asimo) and not to forget hyper space engine for the Millennium Falcon, has a secret to success. Its simple really, you just have to Fail.
Looking through this 8 hrs mins of clip, I cant help but agreed. Failing does make you learn from your mistakes and only makes you stronger. It creates this awareness you have that you probably misjudge earlier.
Hopefully we all could take something back from this. Knowingly that in our life we made decision daily. Some good, some bad. A change of path, a change of fate. we learn and impart.

Takashi Sorimachi
When I was younger, more than 10 years ago.... I was a big fan of the Japanese Series Beach Boy. Its from there I became a fan of Takashi Sorimachi.
And yes I am a little ashame to admit this.
Strangely, I feel like keeping my hair long and keeping those funny blue shades. Perhaps this is what they mean by quarter life crisis
Only some would understand
"I am the Keymaster, are you the Gatekeeper?"
Guess what show this is from

Sending Amber away
Amber,
I hope you understand. This is not you. Its me.
I was attracted to you at first sight. I had long for you the moment I saw you on the Net and the papers. You were the one whom I lusted for and I waited in a long queue just to own you.
However it seems we are not really that compatible. Although you are smarter and more sophisticated than Aileen, you were not as faithful.
Aileen suffered her loss of sight for me. Her sacrifice was noble and she stayed with me like a faithful wife sticks to her lusty sinful husband. I know its hurtful to say this but you became a plaything for me. A mistress with all her beauty that I would only be with during the weekend.
Your will is also lacking. At times you are not able to last more than a day before complaining of the need to rest and recharge. Though I enjoy surfing the web with you, I simply could not enjoy the moment to last for a mere short while.
I do hope you could forgive me. I would have to let you go. You deserve someone better. Someone who admires you for more than I do.
Goodbye now. Its been a nice 8 months together.

Bike trip
Following the ~2 mths after my 40km OCBC cycle challenge, I embarked on a trip with my colleagues on a less challenging but not the least taxing trip of our own.
The plan is to start from the Mac at ECP and ride up all the way to Changi village for lunch. Sounds simple enough doesnt it :P
Well life has a funny way to tease you. We venture off about 11am. The sun who was hiding earlier was now showing its true colour (or brightness). I had left my sunglasses tucked away, thinking it would rain.... I was wrong... well partially at least.
For the morning trip to CV, we took a longer route which suppose to bring us to Bedok Reservoir, though we kinda miss it. The sun was so hot that my bottle of isotonic drink were gone and I ended up getting a 1.5ltr bottle at the petrol kiosk.
In total I am guessing that we took 20km just to get there. I could be wrong. The journey felt longer.
After lunch, we decided to take a leisure pace back to our start point. Sad to say, we were challenged by the weather. I noticed the dark clouds and knew it would pour in 10 mins.
It then drizzle and rain and pour and lightning..... We were lucky to retreat to a bike kiosk who were happy to have us around. We were probably there for ard an hour. I noticed the sky was clearing and we decided to take off to make up for the loss time.
The crazy thing was that, the rain clouds was just waiting for us. The moment we moved off, it drizzle and rain and...... I was so soaked that my shoes were collecting water.
The journey back is ard 19km. But it felt forever. Its harder to paddle. Its harder to open our eyes. Its harder to see in front and I nearly went head on to another biker.
we finally arrived back, wetter than ermm wet water. It was about 6 hrs since we begin and our legs, back, arms were all aching. My back was also burn from the lack of sunblock.
Perhaps next time we shall do night Cycling.

Chrome experiments
Chrome is a browser created by the family friendly people from Google. I had tried it and it seems like a potential to replace Firefox. Though I would strongly stick by it, till that day comes.
Anyway, to provide its fabulous browser. Google has set up a couple of experiments, which they browser can do and maybe yours cant.
I have used Firefox 2 to test them out and seemingly, this last generation still can hold its own.
I dare you to try using IE.

Jogging routes
After 6 months or so since I cleared my IPPT and returned to regular jogging, I had began to find that the usual path I took too be a little short. Perhaps its due to my better fitness level. Perhaps its due to the boredom. I might never know for sure.
As such, I began to try out a different route just 2 days back and I am loving it. I guess I would be sticking to this for a while now.

Unicon Gundam
I always been a big fan of the Gundam, though sadly I only started catching their stories in the last couple of years. I would have like to return to the beginning and catch the stories, which lead to the formation of the present day ideology. And I also know it would be rather difficult to do so.
Aside from that, I kinda started on the gundam modeling. It sure is a challenge to complete this babies. At the moment I am eyeing this particular design. Its known as the Unicorn Gundam. No relation to the Transformer Unicorn.
It is currently available at 100+ at the taka Gundam fair and perhaps I may pick it up this weekend.
Update: taking advantage of a 20% discount at the Gundam Fair, I am now $83 poorer and happier with the outcome.

Davidoff again
After suffering for months since the espresso machine been replace and that I have to settle for 3in1 shitty mixtures, I have took the effort to once again go for gold.
As I had mention previously, nothing beats a good cup of coffee. Especially in the sleepy afternoon or after a long tiring work session (I had 30 min session of work, where I sprint continuously before breaking for a few short mins)
Davidoff coffee, what would I do without you.

cupcake
Lately, I been interested in baking. I probably have no idea how this fascination came about. Perhaps it might be due to my interest in cooking, or that I like things sweet, or maybe I just love to use my friends and family as experiment for my creations.
I might never know...
Anyway, I baked my first creations today. I cheated by using a premix from Hershey. Just 3 simple steps it seems.
1. Mix oil, water, eggs with the premix
2. Stir well
3. Pour into mold and bake
And knowing me.... I never like to follow the ingredient totally and have to be more creative. I added almonds to the mixture, stir some milk into whipped cream (JD's imagination of Charlie's Choc Factory) and sprinkle some rainbow treats.
To play safe, I made 3 batches of 2 cupcakes. The first batch when into my oven for 23 mins. It was alright but there is a lack of a nice top as my oven doesnt have a top fire.
As such the 2nd batch when into my toaster. It turn out to be a beauty after only 12 mins. The toaster is alot hotter but sadly as the metal mold could not fit into it, they were deform.
Finally, the engineer in me decided to make the best of both worlds. I baked the final batch in the oven for 10 mins, then placed them into the toaster for another 7 mins. To preserve the shape, I left the door of the toaster open in order to fit the mold.
As it turns out, it was just about nice.
Oh btw, I din end up putting the whipped cream and sprinkling it with the rainbow bits. As I was waiting for the baking, I whipped the liquid milk (by hand) alittle too much. It was whipped cream after like 6-7 mins, but after 10 mins water was separating from it and it became butter.
I guess I learn how to make butter as well. yum.

Tea
I have been known as an avid coffee drinker.
Finishing 2-3 cups a day of varies blew.
Detesting the 3in1 instant coffee mixture.
Big fan of the Nespresso (not much of George Clooney)
However every now and then, I appreciate a nice warm cup of tea. The soothing smell it releases provides a calming presence as I work. It allows the mind to relax, breaks away the tension. The taste rinses away the nastiness of the lingering lunch. The warm composure fights the mild chill of the dry air.
I do fancy the aromatic earl grey. perhaps I could consider getting a decent tea press and use proper leaves, instead of the relying in the convenience of a tea bag. Perhaps maybe perhaps.

Skynet and my Amber
There is a website that appears to be introducing us to a security system, infamously know as Skynet.
For those who look at the name and din think much, you probably are not of a Sci-fi fan. But for those who do, can you imagine the effort that is going into making the Terminator 4 movie and its franchise. Its one hell of a marketing campaign I think.
Check out this ad for a security system
Oh and if you visit the website, go to the products page and move your mouse over the word PRODUCT. It would open a password box. At this moment, no one knows the password.
Cool aint it.
PS. I am thinking of saying goodbye to Amber. Let me know if you are keen.

I somewhat have a twitter account but never quite used it. The term micro blogging doesnt work for me. I guess I have too much to say mostly. Perhaps when it comes to micro blogging, my MSN nick would capture it :P
